Leake County is served by three (3) major Mississippi
Highways.
Mississippi 35 is a major truck route connecting I-20 and I-55 which allows freight lines to avoid the Metro-Jackson area traffic. Highway 35 also connects Leake County southward to MS 49 and the Mississippi Gulf Coast and New Orleans.
Four-lane Mississippi 25 bisects Leake County connecting Leake County to Jackson, Starkville-Columbus, and North East Mississippi.
Mississippi 16 is the major east-west corridor through Leake County Connecting Leake County with Canton and I-55 and Philadelphia-Choctaw, Mississippi.
Leake County has easy access to Interstate-55 both at Canton and Vaiden. I-55 connects Leake County with Memphis, Tennessee; Saint Louis, Missouri; and Chicago to the north and to Baton Rouge, La. to the South where it connects with Interstate 65 and Interstate 10 to New Orleans.

Leake County is near the major East/West interstate
artery in the Southern United States,
Interstate 20 at Forest. I-20 easily
connects Leake County with virtually all the major
metropolitan areas in the South.
To the east, I-20 provides access to Meridian,
Birmingham, Atlanta, Columbia, SC, and terminates in
Florence, SC with Interstate 95 – the major north-south
trade route in the Eastern U.S. To the west from
Jackson, I-20 connects your business or industry with
Vicksburg, Dallas, Shreveport, and El Paso where I-20
terminates with Interstate 10.
