Excellent Educational opportunities
are afforded our people from pre-school
through senior life.
Pre-school opportunities are
offered through several private day care
facilities and Head Start. Kindergarten
opportunities are afforded through our public
and private schools. Leake County offers a
quality educational system for K-12 students
that is both nurturing and challenging while
advocating positive attitudes and respect.
Training programs are also available for
business and industry through the Leake County
Vocational Technical Center and a partnership
with the Workforce Development Department of
East Central Community College.

needs.
College classes are also offered at our Leake
County Vo-Tech Center than enables getting basic
college classes at a local level. Advanced
college classes are offered as the need
dictates.
Short term classes are also
offered in our county for those wishing to
expand their horizons on many life activities,
from starting a new business to learning a new
hobby.
Leake County has easy
access to colleges and universities for
life-long learning. Our location near several
museums, colleges, universities and our state
capitol allows for comfortable small town living
but within quick access to all the amenities of
the city.
