The Leake County Development Association is governed by a 12-member Board of Directors appointed by the Leake County Board of Supervisors, City of Carthage, Town of Walnut Grove, Town of Lena, Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, and Leake County Chamber of Commerce. The Mayors of all three municipalities in the county, the President or Designee of the Leake County Board of Supervisors, President of the Leake County Chamber of Commerce, and Chief of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians serve as ex-officio members of the Board of Directors.
